DVR Recorders

A Digital Video Recorder – DVR, is a CCTV recording device that stores video and audio onto internal Hard Drives. All recorded footage can be viewed simultaneously across all the cameras on the system. A user can go back to any time in the recording and playback an incident in a matter of seconds. The recorded images can then be copied onto DVD/CD or External Hard Drive and archived for as long as necessary.

All of the DVRs that AusTech supply can be controlled remotely over the Internet using an Internet Browser or Client software. This allows you to view and playback footage from any PC, Laptop or Mobile Phone from anywhere in the world, additionally, PTZ cameras can also be controlled remotely over the internet.

Although DVR technology has revolutionised the CCTV industry all Digital Video Recorders (DVR) are not alike. Digital video surveillance technology could use either stand alone units or PC-based software which operates in conjunction with DVR cards (video cards which plug into computer terminals). It may be best to discuss this with an AusTech adviser.
